Lil Wayne responds to backlash over interview with tweet:
Lil Wayne held nothing back with his ABC Nightline interview. One that is focused on his music and his music only, Wayne was not hear for the questions. It was all good until they asked about the "Black Lives Matter" Movement!
“What is it? What do you mean? That just sounds weird, I don’t know that you put a name on. It’s not a name…It’s not ‘whatever, whatever.’ It’s somebody got shot by police for a f***ed up reason.”
Wayne goes on to say, “I am a young black rich motherf***er, if that don’t let you know that America understand black motherf***ers matters these days I don’t know what it is. That man white, he filming me I’m a ni**a. I don’t know what you don’t come to me with that dumb sh*t ma’am. My life matters, especially to my bi**hes.”
This isn't the first time, Wayne has been asked about BLM and has not given the answer most want to hear but as stated by ex-wife, Toya Wright, Wayne is in his own world.
